MICHAEL APPIAH

I have a passion for working with youth and over 15 years of volunteer experience serving youth. I’ve held positions as President for youth associations and in 2018, won an award for outstanding youth leadership. 

I’ve experienced hardships and I always feel indebted to help youth make positive changes in their lives and here at HM Counseling Solutions LTD we are not just Counselors, We are Mentors, Coaches and Social Justice Advocates that will work with you to heal from trauma, set your life goals and achieve them!

EXPERIENCE

I’m a registered social worker with 10 years experience in this field. My portfolio includes working as a hospital crisis social worker in Nuanvik, working with youth in child protection, and currently working as a as a school social worker, while counseling youth and clients after school and on weekends.

I am skilled in connecting with youth and empowering them with social-emotional, life and living skills to overcome difficult circumstances. 

I work from a narrative therapy framework. I believe telling me your story can help me identify areas where I can empower you and help you be an agent of change in your life.
